String Orchestra
As a favorite of many due to their talents, this group's members come from all demographics, experience, and grades. Performing a variety of styles from Classical to Film to modern. The String Orchestra is usually surprising audiences with their "musical chops". Wearing concert dresses and tuxedos, they perform regularly in concerts, festivals, and every other year in Disneyland.
Jazz Band
Reminiscent of a 1940's and 50's Big Bands, this group's influences are jazz masters: Count Basie and Duke Ellington. They strive to and do their best to honor them by performing their music. Add a rhythm section to band of 18 students, playing saxophone, trumpet, trombone, and you get this swingin' group. Besides performing in concerts, they travel to festivals in the winter and spring months, and every other year to Disneyland.
Guitar Class
Playing guitar starts in this class! Students learn the basics of guitar playing and take the first steps to a life-long pursuit to make music. This class is usually filled with first time musicians and a few experienced musicians. The school district provided instruments allowing students to use classroom guitars giving students an "ALL Access" pass to "ROCKIN' OUT".
